MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement communications plans and tactics to fulfil the strategic goals and objectives of the enterprise-wide program for communicating to client employees about health care reform.
Under the guidance of the director of corporate communications, write, edit, project manage, and deploy internal communications as part of a small national team responsible for employee-facing health care reform communications. Also provide communications consulting to regional and national communication colleagues related to engaging and informing our employees around health care reform and its implications for client, our members, and consumers.
Ensure content is consistent with the client brand in terms of tone, manner, and messaging and the message architecture of the health care reform communications program.
Manage and complete multiple assignments in short time frames and coordinate diverse projects and activities to fulfil the objectives of communication strategy.
Coordinate with key internal stakeholders at all levels.
Implement measures to determine effectiveness of communications programs and create plans to improve results.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Typically 8 or more years of experience working in a complex corporate communications environment with demonstrated excellence in developing, implementing and monitoring strategic communications programs. Ability to coordinate diverse projects and activities into a cohesive and strategic communications program.
FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
Internal communications expertise.
Able to learn new, complex material and industry information quickly.
Significant experience in stakeholder management.
CUSTOMER AND INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with executives who lead a complex organization.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a corporate communications department on a team with professional communicators.
Demonstrated strong project and time management skills.
Health care industry experience a plus but not required.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
