Responsible for managing financial analysis projects and statistical studies. Projects may
include evaluation of potential investments and divestitures as well as general economic
outlooks. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 7 years of
experience in the field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Manages financial analyst staff and typically reports to top management.
Job description
The role is to stand-in for the Finance Manager Strategy & Portfolio Real Estate through
the end of 2013. The main responsibilities during that period will be:
- Drive the strategic MI project, providing forward looking information on Real Estate to
senior management. This will include both financial information, ie operating and
capital expenditure and Real Estate metrics using data on space, workstations and FTEs.
This will include finalising detailed requirements for reports, implementation and
roll-out, and support and where necessary, drive data quality improvement. Collaboration
with stakeholders in RE, IT and Finance is crucial to the successful delivery of the
reports.
- As part of an ongoing programme to improve the performance of the Finance function, a
number of projects are being defined that will be implemented in the second half of 2013.
The finance manager will be responsible for delivery of one or more of these projects in
Real Estate Finance.
- Act as the liaison for the RE Finance team: maintaining the relationship with the
planning & appraisal team, detailed review of quarterly appraisals and other reporting
requirements
- Support the Strategy & Portfolio team including:
o Review of master plans prepared by the team including economics;
o Support of strategy managers;
o Review of actual cost, preparation of latest estimates and 2014 operating plan.
- Close liaison and coaching role for finance staff in India who support the Strategy and
Portfolio team
- Given the seniority of the role, the incumbent should possess excellent verbal and
written communication skills in English.
