Link Technologies is looking for a Mapping Technician for a year long contract with one of our utility clients in Las Vegas, NV. If you are looking to join a team environment with a well-established company, this position is for you!
Duties:
- This role has a high volume of output required, which is centered around repeatable, lower-tech tasks on a daily basis.
- The role will be part of a team and be responsible for individually meeting the daily quantity goals for output.
- Develop or modify communication drawings based on rough sketches, marked-up copies, and/or verbal instructions.
- Develops necessary views, sections, and details with minimal supervision.
- Maintain project drawing files, and associated records and documentation in an orderly condition. Establishes and maintains Telecom drawing standards and methods.
- Coordinates with Transmission and Substation department drafters to maintain cross-department drawing standards.
- Operate and maintain CAD equipment, plotter, and printers.
Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD experience.
- Must be self-motivated and able to take direction with a desire to jump in quickly.
- Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with the Telecom industry preferred.
- Associates Degree in CAD Drafting preferred.
- Experience with Topobase a plus.
Education:
- Associates Degree in CAD Drafting preferred.
