Description
Our client located in Canton, OH is currently hiring a Senior Service Systems Engineer for a 12 month contract.
As the Senior Service Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing consulting services/technical expertise in
support of the sale of software & services products.
Some essential functions of this position include:
- Programming and implementation of software modifications.
- Pre-sale support/customer presentations
- Customer training
- System problem determination
- Definition of systems software requirements (eg. Specification documents)
- Provide technical mentoring to junior professional systems associates.
- Participate as an active member or sub-team leader of project teams
- Assume the role of project manager under certain circumstances.
- Provide advice on what products might fulfil the customer's needs.
- Write formal documents such as proposals and statements of work.
- Provide consulting services to customers
- Provide network design services to customers
- Assist sales with the creation and execution of an overall sales strategy for an account
- Provides consulting services to evaluate potential professional service opportunities, technical information relevant to
technical issues, consultation with the customer on matters regarding system implementation, staffing and staff training,
network design, network security and guides the customer in the establishment of operating standards and procedures.
- Assists in the preparation of sales proposals by providing pertinent technical information. Reviews proposals for
technical accuracy, software capability and adherence to established professional service and software standards.
- Provides technical troubleshooting and escalation to resolve customer or systems product issues in the post
implementation environment.
- Responsible for all activities relating to systems implementation and upgrades.
- Can coordinates project activities between field and/or home office resources as necessary for the successful
implementation of professional services engagement.
- Participates as a professional services project team member, sub-team leader and may, on certain projects perform
the role of "project-manager".
- Generates revenue based upon billing for Professional Services.
- Author system design/modification specifications as part of a customer engagement.

- BS Comp. Science or related area or equiv exp - Required, 4 years, Advanced
- Professional service and technical systems deployments experience - Required, 5 years, Advanced
- Project management experience - Highly Desired, 5 years, Advanced
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership and technical mentoring - Required, 5 years, Advanced
- Detail oriented - Highly Desired, 5 years, Advanced
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Required, 5 years, Advanced
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - Required, 5 years, Advanced
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams - Highly desired, 5 years, Intermediate
- Microsoft certification (MCSE) and Cisco certification (CCDP) - Highly desired, Advanced
