This is a contract position from late June through early Sept. 2013. The web project manager/business analyst will oversee the timeline, coordination, logistics and implementation of a website redesign for the School of Public Health (SPH) at the University of Minnesota.

This position is responsible for:

  • Developing and managing the timeline/deadlines for web redesign deliverables -- with a goal of launching the new site in late August 2013
  • Delegating tasks and responsibilities for the design/development of the new website
  • Ensuring that the content/copy (developed by in-house content producers) is incorporated in a user-friendly way
  • Implementing search engine optimization (SEO) and Google Analytics best practices 
  • Finalizing recommendations for SPH centers and institutes web pages, and transitioning old pages off the main SPH website and into new templates/server space
  • Serving as liaison with in-house database programmer to ensure that database feeds are functioning properly on the new site

Requirements:

  • Project management experience, preferably in information technology and website redesign related projects
  • Proven track record of working with SEO and web accessibility standards
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management processes, methods and standards
  • Effective problem-solving skills
