POSITION DETAILS
GTN Technical is currently seeking 2 Cisco Engineers for (1) 2nd Shift and (1) 3rd Shift for a Consulting opportunity in Dallas, TX. Be a part of a network refresh for one of our clients! This role will upgrade 2000+ Cisco Switches (to 2960) with a team of six NOC engineers. This position will install, upgrade, maintain, and support our client's global Cisco network environment. Our client already has the current Switches configured, so this position will install and upload pre-determined configuration settings, however, you must have the ability to troubleshoot issues when dealing with installation of new Switches. Since you will be working with different NOC centers across the world, 2nd and 3rd shifts will be required. This position will be based out of downtown Dallas and require no travel. CCNP certified candidates strongly urged to apply.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets
- Cisco NOC Engineer
- Cisco 2960 Switch TROUBLESHOOTING - MUST possess EXPERT Switch Troubleshooting skills!
- Cisco Routers/Switches - Installation/Configuration/Troubleshooting/Support
- LCMR - Network Life Cycle Management and Refresh Experience
- Packet Analyzers - WireShark, etc.
- Network Protocols - LAN Protocols/Transports/TCP/IP, etc.
- Mentor/Lead Junior NOC Engineers
PREFERRED (but not required)
- CCNP - Cisco Certified Networking Professional
- CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate
