Contract Systems Software Engineer - Cambridge - 3 Months - RF - ATE - Matlab - LabViewMy client is the world's leading developer of envelope tracking technology for high efficiency RF Power Amplifiers for Handset, Wireless Infrastructure and Broadcast applications. They are now looking for a talented engineer to join their software team on a 3 month contract based in their Cambridge office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications, control & post-processing algorithms and device drivers for the clients Envelope Tracking products, their in house RF base station and handset emulator, and supporting associated automated test environments. Ultimately the role supports the clients mobile handset customers and design partners who comprise world class OEMs, platform providers and PA/Module manufacturers.
You will be responsible for; Algorithmic development and implementation for RF signal processing applications; Development of control applications for manual testing of Modulators; Development of calibration and ATE software for automated testing of Modulators.
To be considered for this role you will have the following skills/experience; Understanding/experience of signal processing techniques; Algorithm development, implementation and validation; Understanding of software design methodologies; Experience of MATLAB or C# languages; Familiarity with hands-on RF system testing with RF test equipment; C and C++ or other high level languages; An understanding of formal software test methodology; Experience of source control tools and practices.
