What you'll do as a lead mechanical engineer:
- Lead and own the mechanical product design from industrial design concepts to mass production.
- Detailed 3D and 2D product design
- Plastic part design including single, insert/overmolding, and double injection; metal part design (turned, machined, stamped); glass design; wearable design; design for manufacture.
- Work closely with CM and ODM partners during all stages of development, principally in a JDM model. This experience is a must.
- Work with ID/EE to evaluate design concept feasibility and push the boundaries of fit, finish, and size
- Develop appropriate process improvements, reusable design techniques, and documentation to support mass production of Basis devices. Mentor junior engineers.
