Solvency II (Pillar III) SME Analyst - ACCA
My client, a non-life re-insurer, requires an experienced contractor to prepare an action plan for development and implementation of the Solvency II Pillar III workstream.
Responsibilities:
- To work with Finance, Actuarial, Risk and IT staff to prepare a Solvency II Pillar III implementation plan.
- Perform duties in accordance with laid down and published statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with appropriate processes and procedures.
- Conduct business at all times in line with the guidelines and requirements of the Financial Services Authority in the UK or such other applicable local regulatory body.
Imperatives:
- Senior level experience of working within the finance operation of a non-life insurance business;
- Self starter - proven record of initiating investigations within an environment with limited support;
- Audit management experience; ability to initiate and execute investigations into various functions' processes and systems, evaluate same and quantify/document requirements to meet Solvency II Pillar III requirements;
- Project accounting (with self management) experience, especially in delivering a Solvency II Pillar III reporting project in an equivalent business;
- Proven business casing experience including cost/benefit analysis and production of work plans.
- Good basic/working knowledge of all Solvency II Pillars - especially Technical Provisions and Pillar 1.
- Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc or equivalent experience
