Description
Badenoch & Clark's client in Carlisle, Cumbria requires a Communications Specialist for an initial three month contract. The role is to start ASAP and can pay £150-£170 per day.
The successful candidate will be tasked with providing communications direction, advice and support to the client's IT Department. You will provide a vital role in the delivery of IT projects across the company by providing appropriate direction within the communications department.
Day to day responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop and implement a communications service and strategy, which will include planning, generating and delivering a range of communications to wide variety of stakeholders.
- To develop and maintain a brand for a new project office.
- To commission, write, edit and distribute internal and external publications.
- To negotiate competitively priced production of communications by external agencies.
- To lead on the usage of emerging technology to revolutionise communications.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- A degree/qualifications in public relations, journalism, marketing of communications.
- Experience of producing newsletters, leaflets, etc
- Knowledge and skills in the development of Internet and Intranet sites.
- Experience and knowledge of media relations.
