Description

Monarc Tree Systems is seeking an iOS developer for a new home automation application for the iPhone and iPad called Monarc Tree. The hardware is installed in high-end leased properties and allows a resident to control the thermostat, lighting, and entertainment system from their Apple device. You will be partnering up with a world-class team of branding specialists, designers, and engineers to launch a product that we hope will stand toe-to-toe with any of the great user experiences out there: Nest, Square, Tesla, etc.

We have very little requirements other than you be very good at what you do and have the work to show for it. You may work from wherever you please. You will be working directly with me, the project manager, and I’ll be serving as a liaison between the other teams working on the project. When necessary, you may work directly with them as well. One of these teams that is of particular importance is iRule. They’ve built the actual software for the product hardware with the hooks you’ll need to build an iOS app on top. In other words, they’re making sure everything works and you’ll be making sure it works on Apple devices.

What you see on the website is a beta release of the product. It is functional, installed, and successful, but we see the potential and are launching a new brand and reworked hardware and software in Q3/Q4. You would be part of this effort.

Pay is commensurate with experience and we mean that. We want the right people, not cheap people. We very much prefer a project bid and we will be explicit about deliverables so you know exactly what you are expected to produce. Other than that, we can’t wait to see your portfolio!

If you have any questions, just ask.

-Sterling
