Description
The Position
We are looking for someone that can design simple, usable, and desirable user experiences that provide a delightful user experience. You will be responsible for a) designing the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of a video based social network and online learning community for teachers, b) developing conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups and prototypes, and c) developing and maintaining detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns.
Who You AreYou are passionate about education technology and enjoy working in a startup
You are reliable, accountable, committed and have great communication skills
You have at least 5 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
You are fluent in best practices for web-based information architecture and design and you have a strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
You have a good design sense and the ability to create pixel perfect mockups and detailed interaction requirements
You are proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio or similar design tools
You are experienced with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Twitter Bootstrap and related technologies, and you are familiar with designing real time web applications
You have a Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent professional experience
