Job Role: Senior software engineer

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Senior Software Engineer needed to join a multi billion dollar company based inCheshire. You will be working within a small well motivated clear with clear areas of responsibility. This is a great opportunity to further your career as my client heavily invests in their employees.

You will have experience working in an embedded environment in particular embedded Linux platforms coding in C and C++. You will also be responsible for the design and development for the embedded software team. You will also be producing rapid solutions to customer problems on new and existing products.

Ideally you will have the following experience:-

- Degree educated in computer science/Electronic Engineering or equivalent with a high software
content

- Experience of working in an "agile" scrum team environment

- Understanding of the digital broadcast industry in particular MPEG standards

- Experience of C/C++

- An appreciation/basic understanding of hardware design principles

- Linux/Embedded Linux/VxWorks and OS21

- ARM, PowerpC

- Awareness of EMC/EMI awareness

- Scripting Languages including Tcl and Python

- Ability to communicate clearly on technical matters in written reports as well as interpersonally
with design groups and teams
Desirables include:-

- C++11

- Embedded soft-cores
