An exciting permanent opportunity has opened up with a company at the forefront ofUKelectrical engineering. My client is involved with the commissioning of large scale electrical distribution systems, substation construction and regeneration work.Due to the acquisition of a new a project an excellent new role has opened up with my client for as an Estimator. In this role you will be spearheading the preparation and estimation of this new project as well as liaising with core decision makers and stakeholders to ensure this new and large scale project is successful.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Sustaining tendering process, and conduct negotiations
- Preparing estimations and programmes to assist in scheduling work
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and personnel in other departments
- Reviewing construction drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labour forecasts
- Preparing cash flow estimates
- Measure effectiveness of products and services associated with the given project
- Continually develop and establish cost reduction
- Maintain a strong directory of suppliers and contractors
- Ability to manage a team
You will require:
* A minimum of 2 years estimating on high voltage networks
* A formal electrical qualification ONC/HNC
