Speech & Language Therapist - Band 6/7 - Adult Communtiy - Complex Neuro, Dysphagia, Stroke -Full Time - 4 months - Essex

Real Staffing are currently looking for an experienced adult Speech and Language Therapist, to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the East of England, in the Essex region.
This is a Band 6 position but the Trust would also consider Band 7 if someone with the appropriate levels of experience came available.
This is a community based NHS position, covering a 20 mile radius within the North Essex region, so any applicant looking to apply, must have access to their own car and be eligible to drive in the UK.
You will be making visits to residential care homes and nursing home, so typically caseloads will be more elderly focused, managing progressive brain injury, complex neurology, stroke rehabilitation and swallowing difficulties - so prospective applicants must also have their post-basic dysphagia training.
Successfull Speech and Language Therapists, looking to be considered for this NHS SLT post must have the following criteria:
- NHS Band 6 or Band 7 experience within adult speech and language therapy
- Post basic dysphagia trained
- Experience in: complex neurology, progressive brian injury (parkinsons, dementia, alzheimers etc), stroke rehab, general communication disorders.
- HPC registered
- CRB checked (clean)
- Passport
- Visa (if applicable)
- Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Occupational Health Checks
- Clinical reference (minimum of 2)
- Car driver with access to their own car.
