Description
Global technology giant requires experienced and talented senior software engineer to join its Brussels based international R&D Centre.
You will working in a team that develops client-side Middleware for a music application running on various platforms.
You will be required to develop, maintain, improve and extend web-based software running on PS3 and Windows 8, and Android. The scope of the project covers the management and caching of audio content and metadata, the playback and protection of the content, and the interfaces to the online server and JavaScript UI.
As a member of the software team, you are responsible for:
- Analysing user requirements, functional and others (performance, usability);
- Planning, estimating and tracking effort and progress;
- Designing, coding, refactoring software components;
- Specifying, implementing, automated test cases;
- Reporting and fixing issues in the software;
- Participating in reviews (design, code, tests).
Profile:
- Programming language: a combination of JavaScript and either Java, C++ or C# would be ideal;
- General development: multi-threading, databases, networking;
- Design and analytical skills: Datamodelling; UML; performance analysis;
- Ability to work well, both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
The following skills are desirable:
- Experience in development for PlayStation 3, Windows 8 (Modern UI), or Android;
- Experience with web services and web technologies;
- Experience in development of multimedia software;
- Experience in secure coding;
- Experience in DRM and/or cryptography;
- Testing skills;
- Good writing skills - English.
