*Financial Analyst.*

Rate: £90 - £100 a day

Duration: 3 months initially

Required skills:

*Working knowledge of accounting principles
*Good PC and computer systems skills including Excel and PeopleSoft
*Good analytical skills and determination to complete a task.
*Detail conscious and concern for accuracy.
*Ability to work without close supervision and meet tight deadlines.
*Knowledge of the principle of unit pricing.

Responsibilities:

*To complete daily cash movements relating to deals placed in unit linked funds by time critical points.
*To complete unit dealing in relation to unit linked funds by time critical points during the working day including liaising with external fund managers as appropriate.
*To complete the daily pricing on funds internally priced and inputting them to the administration system.
*Dealing with BNY Mellon on a day to day basis including resolving any issues as they arise.
*Uploading relevant journals into the general ledger system by the end of each working day.
*Uploading monthly reconciliation journals to allow an analysis of the general ledger to take place.
*To investigate any issues with investment reports and resolve these in co-ordination with other members of the team.
*To be able to provide effective cover for other team members, in particular, to be able to process critical daily and weekly transactions within tight deadlines.
*Assist with project work as and when required.
*On a monthly basis perform reconciliation's that confirm that outsourced providers of fund services are operating these funds as specified. This will involve checking that all allocations have been correctly performed and all deductions from the fund eg annual service charge are reasonable.
*To investigate pricing errors on Unit Linked funds and report potential resolutions through to the appointed actuary.
*Be involved in new product developments, setting up any new funds as required and ensuring that new fund prices are added onto our website.
*Compliance - To ensure that you understand and adhere to Prudential's Code of Conduct and where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies. This includes completion of any mandatory training requirements.
*Financial Controls - Ensure all expenditure commitments (orders, contracts, budgets etc) and all payments are properly authorised, controlled and monitored, in accordance with Prudential UK delegated authority requirements.

The responsibilities of expenditure authorisers are documented in the Prudential UK Financial Procedures Manual.
