IBM Power Server Specialist
Our High Profile Client is looking for an IBM Power Server Specialist
Specialists Responsibilities:
Installation, configuration and administration of IBM Power systems such as:
IBM Power 780
Clustering with IBM PowerHA
Hardware Management Console 7042-CR7
IBM Flex System Enterprise Chassis
IBM Flex System Manager
IBM Flex System p460 Compute Node
Maintain configuration and automation required for building environments
Responsible for taking First Responder (24/7 on-call) shifts on a regular rotation
Responsible for 24/7 on-call problem resolution and to escalate to vendor third level support as necessary
Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of complex end user and server problems.
Manage service and problem tickets within established SLAs.
Ensure proper backup coverage and monitor backup quality
Recommend and perform firmware upgrades, apply software hot fixes
Document all assigned systems. Regularly maintain first responder scripts and re-train team on first response procedures for assigned systems.
Learn and apply new systems and system administration techniques and tasks
Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills
Strong customer service skills to deliver quality results in a demanding environment
Ability to work well under pressure and within short time constraints
Location Saudi Arabia, must be committed to role for at least 3 years.
