Quality Assurance includes design, development, and implementation of testing procedures, creation of test plans, test cases and scripts to support testing objectives, and implementation of quality assurance and testing methodologies, processes, standards, and tools.
The role of the Quality Assurance Analyst is to provide quality testing services in a cohesive, consistent and comprehensive manner and within the required Go Live' schedules to ensure product and applications compliance with the Brand and standards. The QA group practices structured testing methods for all aspects of testing including planning, test execution and review to ensure thorough verification and validation, integration, and delivery of quality software products.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
Identify tasks needed to effectively test software, analyze and document results
Participate in the implementation of testing methodologies and standard processes
Analyze testing procedures and recommend action to avoid quality problems
Review external specifications (requirement/user specifications, functional specifications and architecture) to verify that the specifications are testable
Create test plan, test cases, and scripts to support testing objectives
Execute tests, analyzes test results, and report identified problems
Document quality problems and recommended solutions and escalate any unresolved problems/issues
Participate in meetings conducted by more senior staff concerning the testing of application software and effectively communicate in the meetings with team members
Report on status and progress of assignments
Keep current with testing and quality trends and techniques, tools and processes
Provide knowledge transfer and feedback as appropriate
Position Requirements
BA/BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
3-5 years of Enterprise Testing experience, at least 3 in the health care services area.
Must have extensive knowledge of testing and quality practices and techniques which help validate the solution at all levels of testing
Experience in SDLC Methodologies.
Experience testing HTML, XML, JavaScript, Java, C# or C++, SQL code required
Must have automated testing tools experience. HP(Mercury) automation tools experience a strong plus
Experience in testing Operating Systems and distributed environments
Experience in planning, designing, and performing functional and system level tests
Knowledge of performance testing a must
Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
Analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Knowledge of office automation, data processing techniques and practices, forms and records management
Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts
Experience with core software applications, including Diamond 950(I don't have any knowledge of using claim adjudication system), Great Plains(I don't have any knowledge of using Microsoft Dynamics GP), MS Office Suite, Windows 2000/XP/7, MS SQL, Oracle 10g -11g would be a plus.

Level of Education
Prefer Bachelors/Masters Degree in Business Administration/Health Administration or Computer Science. Equivalent proven work experience in an IT/Healthcare industry with some technical training and some college will be considered.
Professional Certification or License
SQA Certification preferred
Intermediate (Int): 3-5 years of experience in the computer software industry and at least 1 in the health care industry preferred

Work with developers, Subject Matter Experts and other project team members to design and develop test strategy, test plan, test cases/scenarios, and scripts to support specific testing objectives
Execute and update test cases, enter and manage defects, analyze test results and document and report detailed test results
Analyze and prioritize defects and recommend solutions and document and escalate any unresolved problems or issues
Lead testing related meetings and participate and effectively communicate with project teams during technical design walk-thru and other project team meetings
Top 3 - 5 Required Skills
Extensive hands-on experience with design, development, and implementation of testing methodologies, processes, procedures, standards and tools; creation of test plans, test cases and scripts to support testing objectives
Experience with test automation and performance testing a must
3 years experience with Oracle and writing complex SQL queries
Experience testing HTML, XML, JavaScript, Java, C# or C++, SQL code and

In depth knowledge of software development life cycle methodology and how they relate to different SDLC methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
