Summary
- In-depth functional experience with Google Maps API: Reverse geocoding, Driving directions, Street view and complex overlays.
- Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions.
- Writing well-formed, unobtrusive JS with scalability and extensibility in mind.
- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills (use of Firebug plug-in, chrome developer tools).
- Experience with source control (SVN).
- Strong knowledge of Web Standards and Technologies (AJAX, CSS, XML, JavaScript, DHTML).
- Experience of using jquery is a definite plus.
Additional Skill Strengths - 5+ years' of experience programming/scripting in VB Script or ASP.NET required.
- Experience building 3rd party plug-ins for a JS framework (jQuery, Mootools, etc…)
- Knowledge about geospatial exchange data formats such as KML, GML, GeoJSON.
- Strong ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and coding problems
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and techniques, and continuous development
- Knowledge in OO development principles, multi-tier web application design and relational database principles.
