Key Deliverables:
- To ensure that nominated finance processes are re-designed to optimise operational control and efficiency in line with Finance's Target Operating Model and are ready to be executed with minimal or no customisation requirements for PeopleSoft ledgers and Hyperion (HFM & HPP)
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Lead, coordinate and facilitate the process improvement activity on behalf of FTP and Global Finance Services (GFS).
- Develop and maintain a plan to deliver the nominated processes for improvement. Estimate resource requirements to complete the activity. Produce regular status reports on progress and delivery.
- Oversee and provide leadership to other team members involved in process improvement work. Using experience and interpersonal skills, coach team members to assure consistent, high quality process improvement output.
- Elicit cooperation and support from key process owners. Establish on-going communication to share with process owners and senior management.
- Serve as a catalyst for positive change. Gain acceptance of process efficiencies and obtain senior management buy-in to the value of best practice' processes and strong control systems.
- Determine process improvement opportunities. Partner with the subject matter experts to understand content and resolve any queries regarding process grey areas.
Knowledge and Skills
- Qualified Accountant or strong accounting background
- Have the experience to challenge the business users requirements
- Process mapping
- Business writing and Quality Assurance techniques
- Good project management and planning skills
- Ability to identify and communicate issues and risks to management
- Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude with a "can-do" approach to tasks and requests
- Works well under stress and tight deadlines; with the ability to respond to the requirements of a pressurised environment
