Description
A rapidly growing Swiss engineering firm and EPCM contractor is looking for experienced Process / Project Engineers to support its varied portfolio of pharmaceutical capital investment projects. These projects are predominantly within API and protein chemistry areas.Location: Basel, Switzerland
Duration: 6-12 months +
Role:
- Design (conceptual, basic and detailed) and commissioning of active pharmaceutical ingredient and protein chemical production plants
- Working with equipment such as reactors, centrifuges, dryers, vessels, distillation columns, pumps, etc.
- Writing equipment procurement specifications and managing vendors
- Supporting the client side qualification team through the IQ/OQ phases of projects
- Ensuring that all activities are compliant with good manufacturing and engineering practices (GMP / GEP)
Requirements:
- Degree educated (Chemical / Process / Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience
- German language skills or willingness to learn German in evening classes
- Process design experience within an active pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment
- Hands on equipment testing and commissioning experience
- Sound knowledge of GMP requirements
