Description
Athletics is a design agency based in Brooklyn, NY. We’re seeking a web developer with an eye for design and strong communication skills. You will be working with our in-house development team to develop a variety of high profile web projects, with a focus in new media and online publishing.
Requirements:
- High level of expertise with Wordpress and familiarity with WP plug-in development
- General PHP and LAMP stack expertise
- Experience with using Git and Subversion
- Experience with complex deployment environments
- General experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript/jQuery
- Strong writing skills
Would be a plus
- Familiarity with contemporary eCommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.)
- Experience with responsive web design
- An interest in new media and publishing
This is a freelance position. However, you must be located in the New York metropolitan area and be available to meet in our studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on a weekly basis.
