Description
My client, a huge global Investment Bank, are looking for an independent, self-motivated individual to train on the operational processes for domestic corporate actions.This is an initial contract paying up to $30 per hour that may be extended or have the opportunity to go permanent and the role is based in New Jersey.
This individual will have an in-depth knowledge of the various corporate action types, markets, deadlines, and the risks involved while understanding and minimizing potential exposure to the firm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
* Monitor and analyze incoming Corporate Action information from depositories
* Input new offers in corporate action system; modify previously announced offers as new information is made available
* Notify clients of pending corporate actions and deadlines
* Gather client instructions and instruct depositories
* Process mandatory and voluntary actions
* Reconcile accounting system to depository positions and cash paid
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required.
Qualifications:
* Strong experience in and knowledge of US corporate actions (global is a plus)
* Proficient in SWIFT communication
* Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
* Excellent time management skills
* Strong work ethic
* 3 - 5 years financial services industry experience
* Ability to work independently - interpret instructions as needed
