Objective/Background:
My client is an international bank based in Brussels. The Production Integration team at the bank is responsible for the deployment of new and changed applications from development into the permanent test environments and the production environment with minimal disruption to production services. The UNIX platform supports highly mission critical, international financial systems running 24/7 and requiring very high levels of availability.
Tasks: As an Integration Analyst you will be responsible for the deployment of multi-tier UNIX applications.
- Specification, development and testing of the deployment and configuration procedures for pre-production and production environments;
- Definition and validation of the application configuration;
- Specification, development and testing of the operational scripts controlling these applications;
- Validation of the launch scenarios for the pre-production and production environments;
- Deployment and configuration of the applications into the permanent test, pre-production and production environments.
With experience gained on the project, you will be required to participate in the application design phase of forthcoming changes, identifying production environment impacts of new and changed applications. You will validate the application architecture; define the non-functional requirements to facilitate integration of the changes into production and assess the operation readiness of the change. Aspects to be considered: Scheduling; Local and Regional Disaster Recovery; Security; Scalability; Configuration; Deployment; Operation procedures in place.
The team you will join is in frequent contact with the Development, Test and System Engineering teams.
Essential Skills:
- AIX and Linux, application integration;
- Practical experience in any of the following: Korn Shell, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, IBM Information Server - DataStage.
- Experience of working in a similar, high availability environment;
Nice to have skills:
- ITIL principles;
- Apache HTTP Server;
- Cognos Business Intelligence
- Oracle - PL/SQL.
- HACMP;
- PERL.
- Ideally you will have worked in the Banking sector.
