  • Ph. D. in Chemistry.
  • Strong chemistry background and proven experience with similar applications.
  • Fundamental knowledge of design, execution and specification of sand control completions.
  • Broad well site knowledge of completion & sand control operations, preferably from semi-submersible rigs and deep-water locations.
  • Broad knowledge and/or experienced in proppant manufacturing and coating technologies.
  • Previous experience in the supervision of vendors and performance management of contracts.
  • Experienced in the application of HSE requirements during laboratory work.
  • Ability to work productively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact between BP and the vendors.
  • Responsible for the definition and delivery of the project scope of work.
  • Ensure that BP's functional and technical requirements are effectively communicated and understood by the vendor.
  • Perform gap analysis to determine vendor solutions to BP's functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop qualification and test plans and programs to verify that the solution (s) meet (s) BP's function and technical requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans (timings and budgets) for all immobile proppant solutions.
  • Generate test reports in conjunction with vendor.
  • Ensure all HSSE expectations are met throughout all phases completed as part of Scope of Work.
  • Responsible for communicating progress to CETL and senior management within BP on a regular basis.
