Description

Completion Engineer participates in Cross-Functional Team meetings and supports the Cross-Functional Team in developing specific objectives and plans for completions (which includes workovers)

CE supports the coordination and management of non-operated partner interaction during the planning and execution phases of completion operations. This includes reviewing completion designs and cost estimates, offering improvement suggestions, and sharing learnings with UON D&W

CE evaluates appropriate offset wells and participates in internal completion reviews and risk assessments for assigned wells

CE reviews service company stimulation treatment recommendations, and develops the completion design

CE writes completion procedures for assigned wells

CE participates and documents all completion well design changes using the Management of Change process

CE provides technical support on daily completion operations and is a contact for field completion engineering issues

CE provides full-time completion engineering support to assigned drilling/completions rig(s). CE monitors daily morning report and facilitates data error corrections and coding. CE has responsibility in DBR for well file population and management of assigned wells

CE provides data for internal and external benchmarking and end-of-well reports. CE coordinates end-of-well reviews

CE ensures assigned wells are properly permitted

Serves as a liaison with Governmental regulatory offices for assigned wells

CE evaluates completion activities against pre-established targets and KPIs and makes recommendations for improvement based on analysis

CE has an intimate understanding of, and active participation in, the HSE Management System. Is responsible for knowledge of, and compliance with, all applicable regulations and HSE training requirements and policies

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline, or equivalent

Minimum 3 to 7+ years of experience in completions or combination of drilling and completions

Previous experience with an operator preferred

Previous experience with hydraulic fracturing in unconventionals preferred

Has experience writing workover/completion procedures

Strong risk management knowledge

Good contractor management skills

Good communication skills

Good writing skills

Good team player

Self-starter
