Proteus Europe is currently recruiting for one of the largest international companies in the world and we are looking for a Document Engineer. The role is permanent and located in West Clayton.The successful candidate will be involved in the following;
Writing GMC Workflows for direct mail e.g. mailers and letters, taking into account issues such as pagination rules to facilitate multi-page documents
Writing GMC Workflows for transactional mailing, e.g. utility bills, taking supplied data from transactional billing systems and composing the bill taking into account issues such as pagination rules to facilitate multi-page documents
Using GMC to add enhancements to customer-supplied print-ready data; typically in connection with dynamic-length transactional type documents
Producing merged data streams and print files for output on Adare's monochrome and colour, cut sheet, continuous and desktop printers, as production requirements demand
Submitting and managing print jobs using Emtex Output Manager, Oce PRISMA, Xerox Freeflow and DocuSP
Creating and managing Fonts and Graphics
Producing timely and accurate laser proofs for customer approval.
Maintaining and developing existing scripts to ensure systems continue to meet customer requirements and run as efficiently as is possible; to maintain full version control of all updates undertaken
Working with data in flat, structured and print ready data formats e.g. XML, CSV, Line Mode, Postscript, AFP and Metacode.
Undertaking mailsorting and suppression processing as and when required, using Anabase, NCOA, GAS, TBR, MPS
Advising internal and external customers on our capabilities and identify any potential restrictions on a job by job basis.
