SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT TEST ENGINEERLeading, globally recognised technology company is looking for a Software Development Test Engineer to join their buzzing 'Test and Release' team.
Job Summary:
The Test and Release team provides testing services to development teams which include testing of tools, libraries and sample code for top-selling products. The team also supports the development teams with auto build and integration systems through to the release of components to external developers via their Software Development Kit.
Working closely with the development teams and product specifications, you will develop test cases in C / C++ to validate project requirements and quality. You will manage the whole lifecycle of bugs through to resolution of the issues you raise reporting results to the release team in Tokyo.
Using your knowledge of the projects, you will also work with our counterpart test teams in India managing the design, implementation and execution of out-sourced test activities for related components to maximise test coverage.
MUST HAVE:
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Demonstrable C / C++ skills and structured programming techniques
*Experience of writing test cases for APIs and console applications
*Experience testing GUI tools
*Knowledge of source control systems and issue tracker software
*Fluent in English
*Strong problem solving skills
NICE TO HAVE:
*Computer Science or Engineering Degree - 1st or 2:1 or postgraduate qualifications
*Games development background
*Experience in using testing frameworks such as CppUnit
*Experience in test automation
*3D Graphics programming or compiler experience
