One of the world leaders in software solutions for the security market based in High Wycombe are looking to expand the team by bringing on an embedded software engineer to develop robust embedded C and C++ code for their new range of systems. As the embedded software engineer the code you write will need to be of the highest quality to ensure reliability performance and above all security.
Embedded Software Engineer Main Responsibilities
- Software design and analysis using formal OO methodology - (UML)
- The development of robust and efficient C / C++ embedded software
- Code review
- Unit and Acceptance testing
Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills
- Full software development lifecycle experience
- Strong knowledge of embedded C / C++
- Experience of RTOS
- Basic experience of TCP / IP networks
Embedded Software Engineer Desirable Skills
- A working knowledge of PowerQUICC devices.
- Experience of low level or device driver coding.
- Knowledge of development toolchains such as GNU
- Serial bus design, e.g. I2C, SPI, and USB.
Ideally you will be degree educated in software or another relevant discipline and will of had some industrial experience as an embedded software engineer.
