Description
We are looking for a super experienced web developer to help implement a redesign and assist with ongoing development work for a large scale ecommerce site, along with other exciting web development work. The site has a relatively small number of products (15 max), but does large sales volume and has a huge number of pages (over 100). The new site will be responsive and have unique templates for desktop, mobile, and tablet.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a "beta" site that will run alongside the existing site. The site will allow people to test the new look and provide feedback before the switchover.
- Work closely with a talented UI designer to integrate templates for all pages throughout the site.
- Help implement any 3rd party plugins or software as needed.
- Interpret data from Magento to assist with marketing and strategic decision making.
- Make ongoing refinements, sections, and maintenance to the site.
Skills:
- Proven Magento experience with sample sites
- Front end development (HTML/CSS/JS/jQuery)
- PHP
- Understanding of linux hosting environments
- Experience with open source frameworks such as CodeIgniter or Yii
- A basic understanding of SEO
- Design skills a plus but not required
