I am currently recruiting for a Senior Geologist on a permanent staff basis for a British operator who have recently acquired a new asset and looking to expand their subsurface team. The company is Located in the heart of London; providing an opportunity to work in a high performance team of G&G specialists at one of UK's strongest operators, providing natural gas and crude oil to Britain's energy market.Successful candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential:
- A team player who is both analytical and experienced in working on oil and gas assets with clastic and carbonate reservoirs
- Outstanding understanding of Seismic interpretation techniques and applications
- Extensive use with Petrel
- Proficiency in the use and application of Kingdom, Interactive Petrophysics and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
Desired:
- Present structural maps and volumetric determinations of hydrocarbons
- Formation evaluation studies and well log correlation for both conventional and unconventional reservoirs
- Create and build 3D static geocellular models for volumetric assessment, reservoir stimulation and well planning
- Develop geological and reservoir modelling studies for input to Field Development Plans
- Targeting and quantifying key subsurface risks ands uncertainties impacting future field developments whilst effectively identifying risks
- Work alongside Engineers to prepare well proposals for exploration, appraisal and infill targets.
- Co-ordinate and manage geological staff whilst mentoring the junior team members, in Operations Geology work and Core Analysis studies
