Small independent operator based in Houston is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst.

Job Purpose :

To support the Supply Chain Sourcing / Contracting team providing analytical support with Proactis and in evaluating tenders. Provide P2P support for operations/ project organization. Setting high standards which are in line with best P2P and supply chain management practice and ensuring at all times adherence to Company standards and ethics. Ensure compliance with Company Contract and Procurement Policy and Procedures.
Responsibilities and Key Objectives:
  • Support the activities of Supply Chain in Houston.
  • Responsible for review and coordination of tender documents.
  • Develop and maintain the contracts management system and ensure that contracts are input effectively and accurately.
  • Ensure excellent document control management by inputting required documents into DMS system.
  • Responsible for ensuring orders are raised efficiently and expediently in accordance with internal / external financial authorities.
  • Ensure orders are matched to contracts and managed through the Proactis system in accordance with company procedures.
  • Responsible for drafting P2P processes and documentation prior to issue.
  • Responsible for providing day-to-day support of the P2P activities of the procurement process covering all operational activities.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure P2P processes are implemented to meet the business requirements
  • Financial Commitments/ Cost monitoring via Company Procurement / Commitments Systems and Management Reporting.
  • Monitoring spend and providing annual estimates of spend.
  • Help develop training materials as an aid to understanding the P2P process within Afren
  • Help to train users in the P2P system (Proactis)
  • Ensure full compliance with procurement procedures and company code of Business Ethics.


Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience in a buying / procurement role in E&P
  • Excellent systems experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to achieving goals
  • Knowledge of purchasing systems a plus
  • Flexible and willing to support others within the company
  • Good Business Partner Skills and the ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in a team environment are essential.

Education:
  • Degree preferable
