Description

One of the largest financial services firms in the US is seeking an AML professional to cover its asset management, trading, and asset servicing business lines. The VP will ensure timely implementation of AML policies, and must have a keen understanding of regulatory rules and changes on the horizon. Knowledge of OFAC and U.S. BSA regulations is vital to the role.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a staff of AML specialists in the U.S.
  • Strategically identify areas where changes to AML policy (CDD/EDD, high risk reviews, action items, etc.) can be streamlined ahead of regulatory changes.
  • Manage and respond to bank regulators, government agencies, and both internal and external auditors on issues as they relate to BSA and OFAC.
  • Coordinate with Global Security on the investigation of suspicious activity and assist in the preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports to ensure accurate drafting, detailed review, and timely filing in accordance with federal law.
  • Conduct annual Risk Assessment Workshop, prepare analysis of results, and execute the AML risk responses including management and conduct of the AML monitoring and surveillance program.
  • Establish and maintain an AML Committee for the region.


Qualifications
  • BS/BA in a related field.
  • 8+ years of BSA/AML experience.
  • ACAMS or other AML certification a plus.
  • Strong management skills; demonstrated leadership/team management.
  • Familiarity with FFIEC BSA/AML Examination Manual.
  • Strong experience working for/with asset management, banking, and trading divisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work appropriately with confidential information.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to articulate and convey complex, conceptual information to various audiences verbally and in writing.
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
