Job Role: FPGA Design Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

FPGA Design Engineer needed to join a market leading company based in Staffordshire. The company specialise in electrical power conversion and control products and low voltage sub systems. You will be reporting directly to the engineering manager. You will be responsible for a wide range of FPGA activities through the full product life cycle, supporting requirements through to verification and validation of programmed devices.

Ideally you will have the following experience:-
- Degree or higher in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent

- FPGA implementation including requirements capture, VHDL RTL coding and physical stages

- Writing and execution of VHDL test bench code and other Independent verification and validation

- Experience of model based design using tools such as Matlab/Simulink

- Capability of working to formal FPGA/ASIC design process

- Broad knowledge of digital electronics eg analogue/digital

- Good knowledge of practice design lifecycle process; gated design phases, design reviews

- Safety related design process

Desirables include:-

- Design for EMC

- Able to deal with customers
