C# Architect - (.NET, GUI) - Contract - Circa £565 per day - Chicago Based
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced C# Architect to work overseas in Chicago IL, USA. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in of C# development in large scale enterprises. The successful candidate will also have experience in Network protocols, Client Server Technology, Updates in Real Time and GUI Development. This is a 6 month contract paying circa £565 p/d
Technical
- Extensive experience of C# development in large scale enterprises
- Extensive experience of Windows GUI development in large scale enterprises
- Proven record on developing highly efficient and high performance GUI to handle large volume. 10+ million message a day
- Expert in Performance tuning in a Windows environment
- .NET framework and C# Memory Management expert
Non-technical
- Self starter
- Equities business knowledge is favoured not required
- Some business interaction would be required
Tasks:
- Analyse the memory usage of the application. Define, document and prove where the memory is used and where is the performance spike
- Develop a solution based on that analysis so that we can handle 7.5 million messages a day and the GUI doesn't crash or become unusable. A target machine architecture TBD. Obviously there are other business critical applications running on the desktop
The solutions might be development tasks
- Remove Tibco RV from A4GUI
- Develop new TCP based PUB-SUB wire protocol in conjunction with server team
- Develop efficient caching mechanism
- Able to deconstruct existing multi-faceted A4GUI into two or more GUIs - One for business user, one for support
The successful candidate will also have experience in Network protocols, Client Server Technology, Updates in Real Time and GUI Development.
