Description

The American Museum of Natural History seeks to hire a contractor to build approximately 30 essays for three online courses. An essay template will be provided, and the pages will be built in the Coursera platform using HTML. Additionally, the HTML developer will build 3 course syllabi pages, 3 grading policy pages, and 12 weekly landing pages. Templates for each of these page types will be provided. This work will take place from July 15 - August 15, 2013.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Become familiar with three, four-week online courses about the Earth, genetics, and evolution.
  • Take existing online essays, strip out the HTML code, and re-code the essay to match the new template.
  • Upload essay assets (images) to Coursera.
  • Build each essay as a new "page" inside individual Coursera courses.
  • Communicate quickly and effectively with AMNH staff.

VENDOR REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of HTML experience
  • Expertise with the administrative interface of Moodle
