Experienced Digital VOD Test Engineer -Test Lead - Belgium - 12 months contract
This is a great opportunity to work in a growing international company based in Belgium. My client is looking for an experienced digital TV test engineer for an initial 12 months contract with a possibility extension of 12 months.
You will need to be fluent in English and an intermediate level of French or Dutch.
The role:
- Gathering requirements, objectives
- Attending client meetings, networking
- Summarizing requirements, objectives for the test projects
- Test Plan writing
- Specifying test cases & test procedure & test coverage
- Estimating required time for test execution
- Test Execution and Coordination of Test Execution
- Using Set-Top Boxes and DVB Monitoring Tools
- Bug management
- Test Result Reporting (Technical & Management)
The requirement:
- Technology areas: DVB, IPTV, Video-on-Demand, Over-the-Top
- Technologies: MPEG, DVB SI, DSM-CC, DVB-C
- Digital TV Set-Top Box Testing
- Test Plan writing
- Test Execution (also using head-end equipment)
- Digital TV Head-end Testing
- Test Plan writing
- Testing new configurations and/or new components of digital TV head-ends
- Test Execution (using Set-Top Boxes and DVB monitoring tools)
- Bug Reporting and management
- Coordination of small technical teams (2 - 4 people)
- Test Result Reporting (Technical & Management)
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent in English/French or Dutch
Please note that this role is based in Belgium and will require travel across Europe.
