Global Banking organisation is seeking a Functional Architect to join its Finance IT department. The department provides development and support activities across the Bank's range of middle office applications including Product and Financial Control functions.. The main duties of the architect will be the following:Modelling & Architecture:
* Advocate and drive the Model Driven Architecture approach and push the best practices to enterprise wide; * Carry out POC on edge-cutting modelling technology/standards and propose effective usage in the project;* Manage large-scale process models and UML models in an effective and productive way to improve project performance;* Innovatively and continuously improve the model quality considering architecture framework, governance, and version control;* Provide guidance to projects teams regarding model structure, traceability, conventions, and best practices;* Maintain the current code generation templates in EA and support code generation for project releases;* Improve the current code generation process and develop new code generation templates;* Review models (BPMN model, Data Model, Use Cases, requirements) and guarantee model quality.Key Skills:Essential
* Experience in working on large scale IT development projects
* Good knowledge on MDA and code generation process;
* Experience of using UML to express design intent.
* Experience working with design tools, preferably Enterprise Architect.
* Knowledge of software development 'best practices' and software development life cycle.
* Strong UML knowledge.
* Knowledge of software configuration management and version control.
* Team player, strong analysis skills
* Excellent problem analysis skills
* Ability to multitask
* Strong analytical and logical skills
* The ability to resolve issues in a high-pressure environment.
* An effective communicator. Must have excellent written and verbal English language skills

Preferred
* Experience of service oriented architectures.
* Experience of model driven development

* Experience with process modelling notations, specifically BPMN
* An investment banking/finance background.
* Knowledge of Finance / Back Office accounting processes in an investment banking environment.
* Knowledge of rules engine concepts.
* Knowledge of Business Process Modelling (BPM), ideally using Enterprise Architect.
* Flexible in terms of working hours/schedule.
