Key Responsibilities:

  • The Multimedia and Conferencing Services team is looking to establish a team that will be responsible for the implementation and replacement of approximately 800 Legacy video conference endpoints.
  • Candidates must be able to work under pressure, meet aggressive timetables and to work without supervision.
  • Decommission Legacy and provision new video conference endpoints following specified procedures.
  • Test endpoints following established procedures.
  • Enter and maintain records of replaced endpoints in relevant tracking and management systems.
  • Follow a schedule and meet targets.
  • Monitor and maintain incidents to ensure timely resolution minimising impact to clients

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal including the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Polycom and/or Cisco video conferencing endpoints.
  • Knowledge and experience with protocols such as; IP, HTTP, https, command line and file transfer tools such as Telnet.
  • Experience with or capacity to quickly learn and apply knowledge of IP Networking protocols to video conferencing infrastructure.
  • Proven experience with fault finding and problem resolution via the phone with technical and non-technical people.
  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail and capacity to rigorously follow process and procedures.
  • Experience with or knowledge of incident management systems such a Remedy.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft applications, in particular office products such as Excel and Word.
