My client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established team based in Gloucestershire.
Some key information regarding the position is as follows:
Key Activities:
Prioritisation and drive through of delivery of concessions for production and in-service customers
Leadership of Team
Ensure quality of deliveries
Check technical quality of concessions before submission to signatories
Support team to respond to Production Non Conformance Repairs
Support team to respond to In-Service Repair Concessions
Facilitate production of Repair Schemes
Report performance internally and externally
Ownership of performance and associated continuous improvement
Responsible for ensuring staff adhere to all relevant Engineering and Quality procedures and standards
Knowledge required:
Experience of managing staff
Are able to enable technical toolset development and implementation
Experience of interfacing with customers for related technical issues
Good knowledge of design and manufacturing processes, preferably related to the aerospace industry
Fully conversant with traditional and computerised design and analysis methods
Good knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes
Good verbal and written communication skills
General computer literacy (Microsoft office)
Awareness of industry standards, regulations and qualification requirements
Experience of CAD (CATIA V4/V5 preferred) would be an advantage
