End Client will sponsor H1Bs after initial 6 month contract -- they want to hire at end of contract if things are going well.

Looking for a Salesforce Administrator to oversee Client's implementation of Salesforce. This position will be responsible for the planning and analysis of business systems requirements for SalesForce, system changes or enhancements in coordination with business users, management, other TSS resources and/or vendors. The individual will work with business partners to identify practical solutions to business problems using SalesForce. The position will be responsible for the administration and ongoing support of SalesForce and other technologies related to SalesForce. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this position as is a strong attention to detail and an ability to build relationships with all levels within the organization.

Delivery is done through a mix of internal and external resources. The candidate is expected to work with the staff and engage with 3rd party delivery partners to deliver to internal and external commitments. The position is located at our Dallas headquarters.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead, manage and coordinate across an organization responsible for design, outsourcing and implementation activities for a wide range of infrastructure and operational services for lines of business or cross business use.
  • Maintain a strong, general IT control environment that is responsive to the risks across all aspects of technology.
  • Create transparency into the project portfolio, relationship performance, managing ongoing capital, operating expense and budgets. Develop and report on key technology success metrics.
  • Report to the VP Technology Operations and interact with internal stakeholders, both executives and senior management, who have oversight or are responsible for technology capabilities for their customers and employees.
  • Play a key role in managing and executing technology solutions that deliver client value and lasting business impact. Will ensure that development is highly strategic and focused on maintaining the reliability and functionality that is essential to both internal and external constituents.

Responsibilities:

  • Understands all aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to the Salesforce release upgrades (currently scheduled 2-3 times a year)
  • Communicates regularly with the various Salesforce Business Owners, TSS systems leadership, appropriate Steering Committees and other stakeholders to ensure functionality meets field needs and to develop ongoing Client's Salesforce road map and project plan.
  • Maintains at least high-level familiarity with other TSS system/business application capabilities and scope definition in order to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points. Salesforce Sys Admin would champion Salesforce within the technology systems group, educating other team members on the capabilities and potential applications of Salesforce.
  • Serves as key liaison with TSS technical resources in areas related to system support for areas such as wireless, Outlook integration, etc.
  • Supports Corporate Marketing's use of Salesforce, including assisting with mailing list generation/cleanup as needed and helping Marketing Dept. automate processes related to national marketing campaigns.
  • Develops ad-hoc reports as requested by user groups or stakeholders, performs analysis on data as required
  • Maintain and communicate system metrics to track trends in usage and data integrity.
  • Supports a stage gate development methodology. Under this methodology, application and infrastructure teams are required to prepare engineering plans in accordance with a defined set of principles and best practices aligned. In addition will be required to perform code review and produce compliance reports throughout the development life cycle.
  • Contributes to application development project plans; approve scope of work, time and cost estimates, resource allocation, and identification of critical path activities and dependencies.
  • Identifies and resolves problems which may impact projects by monitoring progress and project status. Escalates important issues to the attention of the department head so that decisions can be made promptly.
  • Facilitate the vendor relationships with Salesforce.com and other associated technologies
  • Ensures Salesforce.com applications meet all governmental and industry regulations demonstrated by appropriate validations.
  • Keeps informed of existing and evolving industry standards and technologies by maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing software projects and programs.

Ongoing system administration, including:

  • Manages all security settings and conduct regular security/configuration audits
  • Manages all new user set-ups and deactivation, including transferring ownership of accounts/contacts/opportunities for deactivated users. The actual user admin will be performed by the Service Desk.
  • Coordinates with Release Management to execute all configuration changes (This may involve simply changing field names or could be a more work-intensive project such a re-mapping fields and field value or doing a record update project that may require tools such as the Sforce Data Loader or Excel Connector .)
  • Performs new release evaluations with Business Owner & manages new functionality roll-outs
  • Regularly audits data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process improvement
  • Performs mass data imports using the API or import tools as requested by Business Users or others
  • Manages and implements customization requests by Business Users, including creating workflow triggers, workflow alerts, automated email responses, etc.
  • Maintains updated system documentation and Salesforce policies/procedures
  • Maintains the Salesforce mailbox by promptly responding to user questions and requests for administrative support or forwarding on to an Salesforce Area Admin as appropriate
  • Develops and maintains API scripts and s-controls to support custom development as needed
  • Develops and maintains naming conventions of picklists, report folders, dashboards, etc. to improve system usability
  • Performs manual or automated data entry/data clean-up as required

Primary skills and experience include:

  • Education: BS/BA required or equivalent experience
  • Years of Experience: 2 - 5 years of experience functioning as a Salesforce.com administrator /developer for Enterprise or Unlimited edition (Service, Sales, Marketing) or higher performing all of the following tasks
    • Experience administering and developing in a Salesforce.com environment
    • Managing enhancement and issues logs and executing necessary development to address requests
    • Acting as initial point of contact with internal salesforce.com users for user request, issue resolution, and training
      Implementing and managing various complex sales and service processes
    • Administering users in salesforce.com with focus on set up, profiles, roles, and teams
    • Extensive data cleansing techniques
      Creating and managing workflow rules, data validation, and system triggers
    • Managing data integration processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide training and one on one support end users
