Responsibilities
  • Accountable for developing software code and associated life cycle deliverables for PC and Mainframe applications.
  • Interprets process, data modules, and business requirements into software code.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements and maintains moderate to complex computer programs and subsystems.
  • Performs all of the steps required to design, test, and code such programs.
  • Develops procedures and operating instructions, and successfully moves programs into production.
  • Provides production support through problems analysis and resolution to correct deficiencies.
  • Analyzes problem or new request.
  • Designs problem or new request resolution.
  • Develops program specifications.
  • Designs testing requirements.
  • Codes modules according to specifications and client standards.
  • Prepares test plan and test modules.
  • Develops program and system documentation.
  • Conducts program and system implementation.
  • Maintains application production environment.
  • Responds to and resolve production problems.
  • Responds and resolves user inquiries.
SKILLS

Must be able to work through requirements - capturing details to then create SAS routines. Needs to understand the context for the work to create appropriate quality checks prior to delivering results. Must have experience working in a team setting where close coordination is required to ensure work efforts stay aligned - when work is complete, reach out for the next assignment if nothing is in queue. Familiar with SDLC methodologies.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent training or work experience required with a minimum of two years as a Software Developer.
