Cognos Developer - London or Home Based - Immediate Start - £45,000-£55,000 + Excellent package.Cognos Developer is required by leading organisation who is expanding its business intelligence function. The primary responsibility of the Cognos Developer is to collaborate to develop workable BI solutions.Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
*Working closely with business stakeholders to identify tactical BI solutions, identifying and implementing solutions to improve efficiency/implement best practice
*Identifying and documenting business requirements
*Writing scoping documents to address business requirements and design and development requirements
*Writing delivery design documentation
*Working closely with Release Management, Business View Lead and other Report Developers
*Creating professionally authored reports for business use using Cognos Report Studio
*Performance tuning
The successful candidate will:
*Have had significant exposure to BI analyst techniques
*Have excellent experience of Framework Manager and Cognos 8/10 report building
*Have very strong of SQL server (version ) skills
It would be advantageous to have Cognos Metric Studio experience. Experience of work-shopping, designing and building Star schema Data marts and developing and maintaining ETL packages and developing and building data models would also be of great benefit.
