Computer Futures are looking for a service desk manager to join a market leading client based in Portsmouth. You will be part of the operations team and be managing the ITIL based service desk. You and your team will be providing support to multiple sites in the UK. We are looking for some who is commercially driven with an appetite to drive a business unit to succeed.Key Role & Responsibilities:
* Provide first line IT and application support
* Pro-actively identify problems and trends and propose solutions and recommendations to optimise systems performance and stability.
*Mentor and share technical experience with junior members of staff
* To manage the career guidance and assessment within the IT service desk team
* To provide guidance and advice to the management team on future and current initiatives, strategy and best practices.
* Assist/liaise with contractors, third parties and/or other members of the business in supplying IT services.
* Help or investigate how to help users with their normal day to day IT/application issues.
* Ensure all relevant information/paperwork relating to IT is communicated effectively and accurately, internally within IT and externally to the business.
* To Manage and report on the service levels and KPI's for the IT service desk team
* To track and report on call volumes againstSLA's
* To pro-actively manage the chasing of calls with resolver groups to meet the publishedSLA's
* To manage the administration of any software used for incident and problem management.
* To manage the assignment of all calls received to appropriate resolving team
The salary is paying between 35 - 40k depending on experience.
