Structured Cabling Engineer
A mixture of Cabling, Equipment and Comms rack installation are required.
A good understanding of all types of cabling work is a must, as the person will be responsible for carrying out installations on there own and also be able to work as part of a team, whilst adhering to stringent timescales. A successful applicant will be able to communicate one to one with clients and help keep a good relationship with all other departments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Installation, Termination and Testing of CAT5, CAT5e, and CAT6
Installation of Routers and Switches
Qualifications and Experiences
IPAF
Installation, Termination and Testing of CAT5 and CAT6
A good understanding of LAN and WAN backbone infrastructures
Experience in the Installation of Network Switches/Routers
Familiarity with Network Providers and Suppliers
