Main Function
A ProjectManager is required to take the lead in planning, governance structure, best practice, solutions, tracking, execution, and overall project management of cross asset class and/or cross functional business initiatives. This manager will be accountable for ensuring all aspects of the program and project delivery are scoped, planned, tracked, and managed to successful completion. The individual will execute a multi-year strategy for the Brazil office focused on growth, pipeline capacities, robust controls, and right sizing infrastructure to needs. The position is based in NY and travel to Brazil will be required as appropriate.

Main Duties
Working along-side business sponsors, the candidate is accountable for driving the successful delivery of critical business expansion and/or change projects
  • Work with key senior stakeholders to scope initiatives, establish governance, and define target solution
  • Manage program budget and Iidentify programme/project role requirements outside of individual functions and own process to fund and resource appropriately from internal or external sources
  • Define programme / project roles and responsibilities, and ensure sponsors, programme / project participants and key stakeholders are briefed accordingly
  • Ensure neutrality position is maintained to take independent view on status and risk/issue management to bring best solution for the firm
  • Establishes governance structure and chair/lead key project meetings, including steering committees and working groups
  • Translates business strategy into executable program of delivery including creation & maintenance of detailed project plans covering all deliverables (process, people, IT, control)
  • Interface with the Trading, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Trading, Sales, Finance, Risk, Tax and other functions to identify & track key activities, milestones, risks, and dependencies
  • Senior Stakeholder management, potentially cross-entity
  • Status reporting, providing visibility on status against milestones, and transparency of risks and issues.
  • Responsible for assessment of major conflicts/synergies, and taking appropriate action when a project is not under sufficient control
  • Conflict resolution in a high-pressure environment
  • Direct and matrix management of internal and third party resources


Person Requirements

Experience working on Latin America change initiatives specifically in Brazil

Demonstrate experience of running and delivering large scale, critical business change programmes and/ or broad experience in delivering corporate change programs
  • Deep knowledge of Investment Banking business
  • Understanding of typical F2B Trade Flows
  • Understanding of risk management & regulatory demands
  • Excels at conflict management & managing delivery in a matrix reporting structure
  • Cross border / multi geography project delivery experience
  • Track record in delivering large scale change within the Investment Banking sector
  • Ability to represent the firm to external third parties
  • Challenge status quo; ability to interpret business requirements into a tangible plan and spot inconsistencies.
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholder requirements & demands & successfully negotiate a goal that achieves the best outcome for the Firm
