Description
Leads and manages all aspects of multiple and more complex information systems (IS) projects through life cycle and/or technical initiatives. Assembles project team, assigns individual responsibilities, and develops project schedules. Determines and acquires resources needed. Supports Infrastructure related business-planning requirements including, but not limited to budgeting, scheduling and workload planning.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.Leads and manages multiple and complex projects through the project life cycle, including developing charters, plans, schedules, and budgets; allocating resources; monitoring performance against schedule, budget, and quality targets; managing changes, issues and risks; and providing regular communication to program stakeholders.
2. Participates in steering committees and working groups with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure project satisfaction at all levels of the organization.
3. Establishes and maintains effective communication, cross-functional project teams, and internal/external customers in order to identify key plan tasks and due dates.
4. Ensures that projects adhere to the project management standards as established by the IT Project Management Office.
5. Contributes to, implements, and maintains best practices and project management policies and guidelines as established by the IT Project Management Office.
6. Leads, manages and mentors associates including, but not limited to hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining.
7. Maintain and foster internal client relationships. Take ownership of the relationship and ensure that clients' objectives are met and gain understanding when the objectives are not feasible.
8. Analyze requirements, present recommendations, and determine test and implementation schedules for introduction of new or enhanced systems, networks, hardware, software, or applications.
9. Establish and maintain best practices and consistent project management policies and guidelines in line with IT project management methodologies.
10. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Must be available to meet schedules of a global operation by being available for off hour meetings.
