Systems Support Technicians - NATO - Somerset
Euros per day Dependent upon experience - 6 - 48 month contract
NATO requires 3 Systems support technicians for the RNAS Unit in Yeovilton, Somerset. Start date is early August. Must be Security cleared - Min SC clearance.
Reporting to the joint electronic warfare core staff {JEWCS} engineering officer through the depth maintenance chief to provide maintenance, modification, and design work for the EW Team. The technical branch provides the technical and logistical support for all NATO JEWCS equipment.
Principle Duties:
To provide expertise and continuity to the JEWCS team specifically on electronic warfare equipment, undertake modifications, implement software control and settings, and assist with the design of modifications and their installations.
Working with existing contractors and the forward maintenance supervisor you will be required to comply with all JEWCS configuration, change and quality management procedures whilst assisting with project management activities in support of EW tasks and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications:
Recent experience maintaining military electronic systems and practical use of software control, also experience in microwave and communications fields.
Education/Training.ONC/OND in electronics.
Desirable:
Knowledge of current IT hardware and software developments, knowledge of software development/engineering principles, EW Systems, Military Flight line operations.
