Description
Clojure Cup is a distributed programming competition for Clojure programmers, in the spirit of Rails Rumble and Node Knockout, organized in September 28-29 of this year.
We are looking for a designer to create a visual identity for the event. Your main deliverable will be the design of the competition website, but other tasks related to web and mobile UIs, email newsletter templates, images, etc. may also be needed.
The work will be pro bono (the competition is organized fully on a hobbyist / volunteer basis). Your work will be seen and used by tens of thousands of people in the tech community. You may of course also include it in any portfolios or other showcases you may have.
We're looking for someone with solid design skills, fresh ideas, a sense of adventure and fun, and a good grasp of HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
We don't impose strict deadlines, but to give you some idea of the amount of work required, we would like to launch the website no later than August 1, with an information content similar to http://railsrumble.com/. After that, we hope you could invest a few hours a week until the end of September, to help with other UI design work we will surely have.
